I gotta give it to the authors here... The whole Takagi drama felt boring but then they have turned it on us and sped up the story with the serialization rejection and Nizuma getting involved with Iwase's story. The last chapters were best.
I want to read more!

The volume started very strong with a big twist. It got heated quickly between our duo and the editor but I feel the outcome wasn’t as good. Like we’re back in the same place, the relationship with the editor is the same, and water is under the bridge. I don’t know…
Maybe I hate too high hopes for the story? I expect too much? What do I even expect?

🇯🇵 📚 Bakuman volume 6 ✅
There was a lot in this one. It took me a long time to finish, compared to others, due to the amount of text
Story I liked a lot in the beginning but it seemed it was all an “ok, we’ve done the drama, back to how things were”. All these chapters in the hospital haven’t changed a thing, we’ve been back to fighting for the charts and being in danger of being canceled.

It definitely felt strange how Takagi was brushing off Saiko telling him he was working on the story (which he was) and that he would have it ready in time… Now we know the truth! 😏

I’ve got to say this was a lot of text 😮💨 I guess to be expected as we need information but I found it ironic that the panels had so much text while at the same time the editor was telling Suujin the story had too much text 🤭

Lots of text! When I compare Bakuman to Blue Lock, for instance, it takes me so much more time to digest each page. It’s not a bad thing, they are two completely different stories and one needs more action with less talking, while this one benefits from more context and information 👌

Common thread? I read all of the core #YuGiOh #manga. Also, continued reading #OnePiece, as expected.
I also read #Bakuman...but let's not talk about that problematic series...again.
