@GrapheneOS it has been a couple of days since #Android17 is supposedly out and #GrapheneOS has releases.
But nothing has arrived on alpha channel on a #Pixel 6a yet.
Is the 6a already getting slower upgrades? Will it even get Android 17?
I would expect it to still get #Android18 and #Android19 right?

Dragon Ball Z Budokai with Doc Issues (Capes on the Couch)
Gather around power-level enthusiasts and tournament fighters, because this week on Play Comics we’re charging up our ki and diving headfirst into the legendary slugfest that is Dragon Ball Z: Budokai for PS2 and GameCube. That’s right, we’re looking at the 2002 fighting game that asked the burning question “What if we took the first three arcs of Dragon Ball Z and squeezed them into a button-mashing experience that makes even the most patient Z-Fighter want to go Super Saiyan with frustration?”
Developed by Dimps and published by Infogrames (back when they still existed and weren’t just a nostalgic memory floating in gaming’s hyperbolic time chamber), this cel-shaded beatdown promised to let players experience everything from Raditz’s surprise family reunion to Cell’s perfectionist power trip. What it delivered was a fighting system so basic that even Yamcha could probably figure it out, paired with enough beam struggles to make your thumbs file for workers’ compensation.
Joining us for this Saiyan-sized discussion is the one and only Doc Issues from Capes on the Couch, because when you need someone to analyze the psychological implications of repeatedly punching people until they explode into light particles you call a professional. Together we’ll explore how this game managed to compress roughly 100 episodes of screaming, power-ups, and “next time on Dragon Ball Z” frustrating end caps into a tournament format that somehow made sense.
So grab your orange gi, practice your best Kamehameha stance, and prepare for an episode that’s over 9000 times more entertaining than waiting five episodes for Goku to finish charging his spirit bomb. Will this manga-to-game adaptation achieve its final form? Or will it get sent to Other World faster than you can say “Kakarot”? Time to find out if this Z-Fighter deserves a senzu bean or a one-way ticket to Snake Way!
Learn such things as:
- What happens when you try to balance Goku’s overwhelming power level against characters who can barely survive a Saibaman encounter?
- Is there a psychological explanation for why watching grown men scream for five minutes while powering up never gets old?
- What’s the secret to making players care about story mode when everyone already knows Goku’s going to win everything anyway?
- And so much more!

Attention Earthlings and Saiyans alike! Power up your podcasting devices to over 9000 because it’s time for another electrifying episode of Play Comics! Today we’re diving headfirst into the pixelated world of Dragon Ball Z Legendary Super Warriors on the Game Boy Color. Prepare for a journey through time space and nostalgic handheld gaming that’ll make your hair stand on end (and possibly turn golden).
Joining us on this epic quest is none other than our legendary recurring guest Karrington Martin from K&K Indie Gaming Corner. He’s back faster than you can say “Instant Transmission” ready to unleash his wealth of knowledge like a perfectly timed Spirit Bomb.
So grab your senzu beans, polish your dragon balls, and get ready to explore a game that squeezed the entire DBZ saga into a tiny cartridge. It’s time to go beyond the manga pages and into the realm of pocket-sized martial arts mayhem. Let’s see if this game is truly legendary or if it’ll leave us wishing for the dragon to grant us a better adaptation!
Learn such things as:
- Is Dragon Ball the most important anime/manga franchise in the history of anime/manga that we got in North America?
- How many different versions of the same character do you need in a game?
- Did the smaller number of available things in the past help to give us a more centralized zeitgeist, and if so is that a better situation than the overwhelming number of choices that we have today?
- And so much more!
You can find Karrington at K&K Indie Gaming podcast website. You can also find him on Twitter @Desertfury90.

Your Galaxy 2023 flagships will get AI features soon!
In the world of artificial intelligence (AI), where companies innovate with newly creative features that leverage the usage of AI and where people use such features to do things that weren’t possible in the older days (such as generating articles from just a heading or generating pictures from just a description), Samsung jumped to the AI party with their Samsung Galaxy S24 (base, plus, and Ultra variants). This phone featured various Galaxy AI features, such as removing unwanted objects from photos, adding missing parts, generating a summary from text, and Circle to Search.
This feature set was teased in various Galaxy S24 advertisements in both the digital form (YouTube and so on) and in the televised form (such as television channels). However, things are about to take a nice turn!
Today, March 28th, Samsung will release the Galaxy AI features to their 2023 flagship devices soon. However, this is an update to One UI 6.1, which is currently available in the following devices:
- Galaxy S24 (no seamless updates…)
- Galaxy A55 (with seamless updates!)
The following Samsung devices will get One UI 6.1 with the Galaxy AI features:
- Galaxy S23 (base, plus, and Ultra)
- Galaxy S23 Fan Edition (FE)
- Galaxy Tab S9
- Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5
There may be older devices that will probably get some of the Galaxy AI features, such as the 2022 flagship S22 devices. This is being tested internally, and the list of devices that will get One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI may change once Samsung finishes testing the AI features on the older devices internally.
Once Samsung confirms the release for older devices, such as the Tab S8 and the Z Fold/Flip 4 devices, we’ll post a follow-up to let you know which device will get One UI 6.1 with AI and which ones will get the same One UI 6.1 without AI.
Side note: Galaxy A55 doesn’t have Galaxy AI bundled with One UI 6.1 that was released with this device, but it has only one AI feature: Advanced AI Image Signal Processing (ISP). It produces stunning low-light images never seen before on the Galaxy A series. In contrast, Galaxy A55 comes with seamless updates, while Galaxy S24 and all older devices don’t unless Samsung releases an update that introduces it, which is unlikely to happen.
Are you excited to use Galaxy AI on your older flagship devices?
