Mannequin Pussy - fun let it all out punk, kinda more how I hoped Amyl would be. Loses a bit on the slower songs but still highly rated.
¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U - loud DJ. Banging in a hyper, ADHD kinda way (my being ADHD may well relate to my liking the music). Not for purists, mostly techno but wanders across many genres, almost a bit like a parallel evolution of a more club-based IDM. Occasionally dropped in some metal for some reason, which was fun.
A couple of the most tedious basic wankers behind me who wouldn't shut up did detract though.
SALEM, WIST, Concrete Vehicles - three very good acts I only saw briefly, probably in ascending quality. Last one pretty loud.

Interpol - really liked them as a teenager. Still like them, but I'd find a whole gig too one note.
JPEGMAFIA - not quite weird enough to be some hyperpop-descended internet quirkiness, too autotuned to really show off his rapping chops. Kinda fell between two stools for me.
Deafheaven - wasn't in the mood, would probably love them on a different day. Set tended a bit more to the post-metal side of their work rather than the blackgaze, and I've been a bit burned out on post-rock/metal for a while tbf.

Deftones - very good gig, probably would be excellent if I knew them better (been meaning to do that for 20 years…)
IDLES - can see why people love them, can see why people hate them. I only liked them, wish the band played around a bit more.
Amyl & the Sniffers - enjoyed them, like with their albums had had enough before the set was done though.

Went up to that London for Outbreak festival at All Points East. Lots of stuff I'd want to see but which probably wouldn't make it off my shortlist for a full gig, so pretty fun day.
Well run festival, drinks decently priced (in context) but air quality really bad due to … London, plus it being really dusty and the kids apparently starting to smoke again. Bands next toot:

I went along to a gig at the weekend, smol festival, #AllPointsEast, headlining was Death Cab for Cutie / Postal Service and they were incredible.
Some of the fans were not however, which was a little surprising. One comment aimed at us was “oh, the Swifties are out, now they can hear [proper|good] music”…. (I guess the Eras tour tote bag was enough to pass judgement). The other #mood was the shitty looks given to anyone daring to venture through the crowd to either the bar, toilet or friends 🤷
