I put this up because I think it's good! and also because it compares to the one before this in the sense that the person in this one is almost distorted in the opposite way, where they are hidden under layers of arbitrary socialization? I don't know if that really makes sense but that is what my head is doing with this stuff right now. The other one exposes the free animal sense experience of a child and this is like the same level of exposure of a socially limited and well-trained adult of the same species. Just spent some time checking out this artist's website, and there are a lot more like this. Really impressive that they can communicate this thing in this way, which I don't think I will do justice with words. but something like primal and primate instinct and security. Maybe something about our social nature and survival. I'm taking those orbs to be breastish. Really love the weird little alien face, little kids are so cute but their weird little alien minds are strange to watch working, and I guess probably all of us are like that, we're better at lying about it. I don't know if I'm making sense and I guess it doesn't matter 🤣

It's clearly a landscape with trees. 😂 After that it goes into full color freedom mode and I think it's pretty cool. Maybe because it's based on reality there's still some kind of anchor that you wouldn't have if it were purely abstract, like I still feel like I'm in a place. The colors communicate a feeling about life and art because they are in a place? idk

Most of the time when I'm posting these I'm in my living room, with adequate light, livable temperature, clean fresh water and healthy food nearby, etc. I'm usually a little stressed because that's how I'm put together, but if I stop and pay attention, I notice that it's quiet and safe and nothing's wrong. Sometimes in the silence there will be a distant horn honking or a bird call or my neighbors will make some little noise, and suddenly the universe is filled with peace and love and life 🥳

Someone made a shelf right into the wall, with tile and everything, just for plants and things... I was thinking about how the difference between a painting of and a photograph of this scene is that the painter spent hours working on this, and that is included in its impact. She spent HOURS on this. The love is worked into the image.
It's really well-done, she makes it look easy, plants are just like that, and I love them too. The little top, also perfect.

just breezed through the Wikipedia article of this artist, really interesting. I can't remember if I've posted any of her work, there's a few that I really love. She was into Theosophy, another interesting Wikipedia page, and her paintings "were a visual representation of complex spiritual ideas."
