The Storm, George Inness, 1885
I read this as creepy when I saw it. Inadvertently creepy maybe. The storm makes the whole scene dark but I think it's the shadowy tree and the person walking. Idk I'm seeing like some kind of evil riding in on the storm and making everyone crazy (or were they already crazy?) and then one thing leads to another and lightning strikes the wrong person at the wrong time and suddenly it's a slasher and there's blood everywhere 🤣
