In attempt to finish my Pac-Man clone I've been researching sprite collision and bounding in #Z80 #assembly on the #AgonLight2 and I've finally managed to get it working.
I can now move this code into the main game and maybe start looking at getting some actual game play working 😀

I asked AI for a title screen for an 8bit game I want to write for the ZX Spectrum Next and AgonLight2 / NEO6502 /Commander 16 and it gave me this gorgeous thing!
My game currently looks *nothing* like that, it looks more like Horace Goes Skiing... 🤣

Another productive day!
In addition to my assembly language developing, I've managed to put together the Arcade for Agon Light 2 by EIGHTBITSWIDE!
My soldering is a little off as I've not soldered for a few years, but at least it's all working.

As I said before - I’ve started tracker-like music compiler for creating music for Agon Light/Console 8.
It’s current snapshot are here: https://github.com/nihirash/agon-music-track-compiler
It’s very simple and dumb but allowed add music to Rokky.
Yes, rokky updated too: https://github.com/nihirash/Agon-rokky
You can check sources update or just download version with awful music. But looks like it's first game for Agon with music.
Using music requires Console 8 or latest 1.04RC2 VDP firmware but this update should be already installed on every Agon in my opinion.

First real world experiment with my “music compiler” for #agonlight2 and #agonconsole8 .
My game rocky with added music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo1d5MVRGlY
It wasn’t made perfect - just for ~10 minutes including “writing” this music. But it’s possible, and I think I'll extend it to usable version(for me at least).
There isn’t some real “tracker” for music. There is just text file and my simple app that converts it to commands

DigiKey has indeed run out of #AgonLight2 stock, but MOUSER still has plenty, so our American friends are still OK. Just turn to MOUSER.

Polishing off a PCB design a started a while back. This is a breadboard breakout for #AgonLight2
Silkscreen includes a cheat-sheet for port addresses and pin configurations.
High speed pins (SD card, CPU clock) are connected via normally-open solder links because you probably don't want them anywhere near a breadboard.
Top connector has the standard pinout for onwards expansion.
