@in_sympathy yeah, I spotted DA9090 on #ThePiHut a while ago so I guess there's some hope for the DA9091 at least 🤞 .

You can't save 'em all though - another Pi 5 arrived with a dead #DA9091 that @RaspberryPi or #thepihut or literally anyone else won't sell.

Therefore even knowing the root of the issue you can't really help it 😔.

Well, I couldn't splash out in the black Friday sales, but I did bag a #PiPicoW and a breakout board from #ThePiHut!

However, I would like to highlight that even without the bf discount, The PiHut was still cheaper than the same things being sold on Amazon and eBay!

Anyway, order placed... Later, while reading my techy magazine (Linux Format, issue 322), what do I find but a small python project for a Pi Pico W (and an LCD display). Clearly my buy was approved by the Universe ☺️

Ok, so I did it - connected a 3D RGB Christmas Tree from #ThePiHut wrong way around. I did feel some burning smell. Pi boots ok, but the tree won’t work. Won’t also work on a different Pi. What should I check? What could possibly burn?

Sadly I don’t see anything obvious on the Tree so far - no burned traces or LEDs. How do I test those RGB LEDs with a multimeter?

I grabbed a couple of RP2040-GEEK #Waveshare boards the other day from #ThePiHut as they looked handy but I'm a bit disappointed they didn't add the extra hardware needed for the BOOT button to double as a user button 😞 .

The noticeable difference from the v2.2 is it won't interrupt Pi Zero power when you reboot a Pi4 controller ( https://8086.support/content/23/116/en/what-are-the-differences-in-cluster-hat-versions.html ).

Finished day 4 of #ThePiHut #AdventMakerCalendar and that was a lot of fun. Decided to try an incorporate the final two exercises together
