I need to use #outlook for work, where I’m multilingual, and it doesn’t let me switch it off (believe me I tried), it corrects my Dutch to out of context English words, it undersquibbles 90% of my words in red and it does change words again, again, and again even when I’m already working on the next sentence. #aaargh

I am about to close my luggage yet another time, closing yet another chapter of my life in yet another European city.

While #packing, in the last few days, I realized that I have had the incredible privilege of #moving on an average every six months (🤯) in the last four years, and I also took many life-changing trips in between.

The cities I call(ed) home are #Turin, #Venice, #Grenoble, #Berlin, Riva Ligure (#Sanremo), and now #Tallinn.

It is so hard to keep up with the huge amount of feelings and inputs this kind of life entails, especially while being in my 20s.

Still, I am glad, immensely grateful, and partly even thorn, because I would never have had any of this if it wasn’t for my #privilege.

After a deeply frustrating meeting w/a major #openscience infrastucture provider, I wish for this: if you're a community based non-for profit in open infrastructure, make sure you're clear about what you want from potential contributors. Don't change goalposts because you "feel" something might not work out. Be mindful of the time and effort it takes to get support lined up for your initiative. Otherwise your potential allies lose trust in you and look at commercial solutions instead #aaargh
