If i start to follow your #fediprofile maybe i'm already following your mastodon, or pixelfed and I just want to be sure to follow also your loops or bookwyrm.That will end up receiving duplicates.
Maybe following a #fediprofile should be translated into the action of following all the individuals account listed there.

We (the fediverse) could have the edge!
Technically, loops could support Quotes, and people could quote it with tags (boosting + tags), and then maybe we can create a client that support feeds with such rules (shown me videos boosted/quoted with the tag #pg13 at least 3 times)

This part of the Fediverse is a bit less well developed than the microblogging part but there has been a lot of activity in recent months and I have every reason to expect further development (both technically and in terms of things like moderation tools and standards).
