#FirstWorldProblems For 3-4 weeks here in #NoCo there is a surfeit of amazingly tasty Palisade peaches, Olathe sweetcorn, and Rocky Ford cantaloupes. Even the chain grocery stores all have them but it’s fun to chat up the local owners at the farmers markets. The flavors and quality are orders of magnitude beyond any imported stuff.

On a very few occasions I’ve had #dreams while my eyes are open. I’m asleep—a couple times when napping on an afternoon, a few more at night, in the dark. My dream self is involved in the dream action but my eyes are seeing the room in front of my face. Or darkness. The dream scenario is happening, but I can’t see it. What my eyes see is superimposed over the dream. At some point I recognize this. But can’t control it. So not #luciddreaming exactly, but sort of almost.

The big nation-wide ones in the US, #Powerball and #Megamillions, have been around for decades. Megamillions recently raised the price of a ticket from $2 to $5. I wonder if sales are down, and they’re pushing these stories to offset the loss in income. #TaxOnStupidity
