nothing, and i mean NOTHING is confidential with Microsoft or Google or anything by #techbros.

y’all seem to have forgotten EDWARD SNOWDEN and his revelations about the NSA, FISA and how Silicon Valley spies on USians for the right price.

we political bloggers at the time had on our emails disclaimers about how Google, Yahoo, Microsoft could send them to the NSA.

#AIslop is the commercialization of the #spycraft as internet services, Silicon Valley created to sell us out to the police state.

Wer Apple OS Geräte nutzt und in „unfreundliche“ Länder reisen möchte, schaut mal hier.
Ja ich weiß, beides ist aktuell möglicherweise fragwürdig und gehört auf den Prüfstand.

  12. Article by @zackwhittaker re Google patch. The real asspain part of this is going to be patching the burner (a Pixel) in that I will need to do the whole faraday bag shuffle and drive somewhere I never usually go to to get patched up.

  13. LOVE this article from my man @zackwhittaker:

“Age verification laws are a lazy way for politicians and governments to appear as if they are tackling online child safety, but without any forethought to the future consequences of amassing vast banks of personal information for verifying people's identities. Rather than holding the ultra-wealthy tech and social media giants accountable for their actions, cowardly and toothless governments are instead requiring ordinary people to shoulder the legal burden. These are the same tech companies that don't pay any tax, all the while governments let them get away with it.”

Suddenly outsourcing your recruiting & HR to save ops costs doesn't sound so brilliant, does it?

  20. Looks like somebody broke into #atari's #Sendgrid account and used it to send a bunch of phishing emails.
No explanation given for how; perhaps @zackwhittaker can wheedle it out of them.
Since it says here that they've "secured" the account, my guess is a bad password (or infostealer) + no #2FA. The most obvious explanation is usually the correct one.
Though I suppose a cracked Lastpass vault is also a possibility.

  21. Lovense appears clearly unhappy about the media coverage they have recently received. They sent out a statement from their CEO, and because I had linked to @zackwhittaker reporting on TechCrunch, I received a copy with a request to update my coverage.

Adding their statement as an update is not a problem, and you can read their whole statement under the original post at databreaches.net/2025/07/30/se but reading their statement, I noticed this closing paragraph in it:

"In response to the numerous erroneous reports online, our legal team is investigating the possibility of legal action. Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in Lovense."

Is that an intimidation attempt? Or just an attempt to persuade the public that so much written about them was seriously wrong? Or both? Personally, I think their statement would have been better without that. YMMV.
