I wonder if anyone has made a "burner phone fixtures" toolkit that populates a burner phone with plausible looking but innocuous photos, contacts, calendar events, email accounts, etc to make a burner look legit?
Would be handy for people to can't avoid travelling to fascist states like the US or when engaging actually-legitimate-but-now-criminalised activities like protests in borderline fascist states like Australia.

I guard my #privacy and the only way I can bear to use WhatsApp is to have a second "burner" phone devoid of any names in the contacts. To function in modern society WhatsApp seems regrettably unavailable but this allows me to join in, supping with a very long spoon.I also use it for shopping, where you have to provide a phone number. I set the burner phone to ping any text messages to my real phone.

Article by @zackwhittaker re Google patch. The real asspain part of this is going to be patching the burner (a Pixel) in that I will need to do the whole faraday bag shuffle and drive somewhere I never usually go to to get patched up.
