COVID booster update: While I don’t feel utterly wasted or have a horrible headache like some people did the next day, I do feel as if someone used me as a human piñata while I slept. The only parts that don’t ache are my head, my hands, and my feet.

My wayward Prius has returned home shiny, clean, and most importantly repaired. ☺️
My rental was a 2025 Prius, and I really disliked the changes they made. Seriously, did you do any user testing, Toyota? 🫤

Man, I must be more tired than I thought after this hellish work week. Instead of corporate influence in a post here, my brain read corporate flatulence. And instead of self-hosting, my brain read self-loathing. 😵💫🥴😅

What began as a St. Paul car dealership in the 1920s is being demolished for a new six-story development — but not before its useful parts are rescued for reuse. For weeks, salvagers, nonprofits and bargain hunters have picked over the building and still, it’s full of treasures. Especially for an entrepreneur about to open a small restaurant. https://www.startribune.com/meet-the-salvagers-saving-a-piece-of-grand-avenue-history-from-the-landfill/601663506?utm_source=gift

A golden mole that has not been seen for over 80 years has been filmed and photographed after an extensive search for the species, which researchers feared was extinct. The researchers searched for evidence of the elusive mole by taking more than 100 soil samples from a range of locations and analyzing them for environmental DNA traces of the animal left in its environment through excretions, skin cells and hair. https://www.livescience.com/animals/land-mammals/shimmering-golden-mole-thought-extinct-photographed-and-filmed-over-80-years-after-last-sighting

Lovely. Woke up to a power outage. Funny thing about the city wheee I live: We never lose power during because of storms. Only when the weather is behaving itself.
Xcel Energy will probably use their usual excuse: a raccoon. (I mean, we do have a lot of raccoons, but I have to question how well you’re maintaining the power lines if raccoons are always able to take out the power.)

The formidable fossil, found in Dorset, is almost seven feet long. It belonged to a pliosaur, an extinct marine reptile that terrorized the oceans from the earliest Jurassic to early Late periods, approximately 150 million years ago. The skull has 130 long and razor-sharp teeth. Each tooth has fine ridges at the back to pierce its prey's flesh. https://www.businessinsider.com/huge-skull-of-ancient-apex-predator-in-the-ocean-discovered-in-dorset

Anyone have unpleasantly strong side effects from their 3rd Hepatitis B shot (such as kind many people had for the last Shingles vax)? Planning ahead of mine next month.
