I read that the current recommendation for seniors & those "at risk" is to get a #CovidBooster shot at 6 months. So, I'll get one in April.

Dabei gibt es bei Influenza auch nur eine Stiko-Empfehlung ab 60 Jahre. 🤦♂️

Kennt jemand im Großraum #Stuttgart eine Impfstelle, wo man vorzugsweise abends, Freitag Nachmittag oder gar am Wochenende für zwei schulpflichtige Kinder und deren Eltern zeitnah einen Termin für einen #CovidBooster bekommen kann?

One day post #vaccines. I've been extra sleepy this afternoon, and achy in various joints. It feels almost like running a fever but without the increased temp. Both upper arms are sore, especially the left, which got two shots.
All of these symptoms are normal for me the day after a #flu or #covid shot. They're possibly exacerbated by the aftermath of the glorious #massage I got this morning.
Lots of #water, and I'm resting.

As of 2.5 hrs ago, first #HepatitisB shot and this season's #FluShot and #CovidBooster are IN ME.
Hoping this combo doesn't knock me flat for the whole week. I gots stuff to dooooo.

Update. Ontario Health got back to me:
Updated COVID-19 vaccines will be available starting the week of September 22nd for priority populations, including people 65 years and older, health care professionals (including students), people with underlying health conditions and young children. Eligibility will open up to the general population starting October 27th.
Eligible populations for priority access (starting next week) will also include:
Residents in long-term care homes and other congregate living settings
Individuals from First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities
Members of underserved communities
Health care workers and other providers in facilities and community settings as per National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) guidelines. -

I just went to the doctor to get my stitches removed and gave him a good laugh. I told him that I got my COVID booster yesterday and it dramatically reduced the pain of my frozen shoulder. Fresh vax booster today for COVID and flu. Feeling pretty good, but sore arm as per the usual. Kudos to the pharmacist who performed my double jab. They were smooth and efficient. I barely felt them stab me twice!

I am less than two hours away from winning an ebay auction for a cheap, Soviet medium format TLR camera from the 80’s. I am the only bidder so far. Think I am going to win? Neither do I, but let’s see how it goes.
I’m exhausted. I have a massive headache. I have body aches all over. This is the post-covid booster shot blues. I was planning no working in the office tomorrow but now I think I am going to push that off until Tuesday. Just on the off chance that I’m not quite over this by tomorrow morning. Here’s hoping a good nights sleep will fix me right up.

Just got boosted again for COVID. I was going to do it last year but I was a coward and got anxious about getting it done at the store because of people. Recently I remembered the health department can do it so we had an appointment scheduled for me.

They've changed the rules. I can get a COVID vaccine because I'm Indigenous and have immune issues. Before, household members qualified. Now they don't. And yet people who qualify aren't bothering to get vaccinated and people who want to aren't being permitted. Very frustrated. The new COVID vaccines are available for high-risk people, but when I tried to book an appointment, the person on the line had no information on where I can get my booster shot. I was told I'd need to call each pharmacy to find out.
Why the hell doesn't Ontario's vaccine program have that information? I don't have the energy to call every pharmacy in the Waterloo region. How is this acceptable? The healthcare around here is a total joke, and not a funny one.
Does anyone know what pharmacies might have the new vaccine yet? I already have long COVID, and I know a lot of people who've recently caught COVID. I do NOT want to get infected again. My quality of life will take another dive. https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-vaccines#section-6
Edit: I have found that only Shoppers Drug Mart can do it. This is a weird monopoly and I don't like it, but at least it's available. I don't know why the Ontario COVID hotline doesn't have this information. What a clusterfuck. Link in the comments.

Ich befürchte, ich kann das vermeintliche Rätsel auflösen:
Ein Hausarzt berichtete mir, dass er außerhalb der klaren Zielgruppenempfehlung der #STIKO am #RKI nur gegegen Unterschrift auf eigenes Risiko impfen, da er ansonsten für etwaige Impfschäden hafte. Kann ich verstehen. Zudem scheint es zumindest in den USA nur eine #Notfallzulassung zu geben.
Der Fehler liegt somit bei der Bundesregierung: es müsste eine Staatshaftung dafür geben. -
Mein Arzt besteht auf 12monatigem Abstand für den COVID-Booster. Dann müsste ich noch bis Ende Oktober warten.
Er hält sich halt streng an die StiKo, und ich weiß nicht, ob ich mir für sechs Wochen jetzt den Stress machen soll, woanders hinzugehen. Eigentlich würde ich einen halbjährlich Booster bevorzugen.

Today's #COVIDBooster update
Haven't felt too bad today. No aches, no fever. Still very little energy, but more than yesterday. My back hurts, but pretty sure that's unrelated. Can't tell if the neck pain is from back pain radiating; or from swollen lymph node at the base of my neck on side where I got the shot; or from a combo.
Hopeful I'll feel well enough to visit UPS for pricing on mailing a painting to @SrRochardBunson! 🤞

#CovidBooster update
I'm now 21 hours in. Woke up this morning feeling tired but otherwise not too bad. Body aches started shortly before noon. I checked my temp at 2pm and it was 99.1 -- my normal temp is 97.7. Yeah, I'm one of those. Took some Tylenol (acetaminophen/paracetamol), which is finally helping a little.
Currently advising 11yo on her ideas of how she'd survive without adults in the event of an #apocalypse.
