  1. Three New Species of #Fossil Kangaroos Discovered in Australia and New Guinea sci.news/paleontology/protemno

Systematics and #palaeobiology of #kangaroos of the late Cenozoic genus Protemnodon (Marsupialia, Macropodidae) mapress.com/mt/article/view/me

"The three #NewSpecies belong to the extinct #kangaroo genus #Protemnodon, which were common members of #Cenozoic communities across #Australia and #NewGuinea until their #extinction in the Late #Pleistocene."

  2. Treasure trove of #fossil eggs hints #titanosaurs nested in colonies newscientist.com/article/23555 By Riley Black

New Late #Cretaceous titanosaur sauropod #dinosaur egg clutches from lower Narmada valley, India: #Palaeobiology and taphonomy journals.plos.org/plosone/arti

Long-necked titanosaurs nested in large groups, but left #hatchlings to fend for themselves.

  3. Here seems nice, so I wanted to post an #Introduction. I'm Russell, I work in #palaeontology / #palaeobiology at the University of Manchester, UK. I CT scan #fossils, think about terrestrialisation and #insect, #arachnid and #myriapod #phylogenetics, and I also do some computer simulation of evolution.

I often post about the fossil record of land #arthropods, but expect a smattering of other random thoughts.

  4. #Introduction (work): I'm a #scientist. Exactly what kind of scientist isn't that important, but if we go down that road, I've been trained in #palaeobiology, #ecology and #paleontology, but nowadays I am working on #SocioEcologicalSystems and how human #society are using #NaturalResources. I am drawn towards #ComplexSystemTheory and networks, and I'm interested about the #DeepRoots of the #SystemicConnections between #nature, #climate, #HumanSocieties and #ResourceUse.
