Be careful with the #JingPad. I am fairly certain that project has died and in it's current state it's not very usable. At least for me.
I recently helped a friend to switch his Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite over to #/e/-OS. He is rather happy with that.
I also have a Surface Go2 running fedora 35 and like it very much. Cameras don't work though

New #Jingpad update, but leaving it turned off on the desk seems to have drained the battery, so I have to wait until it's charged again....

Just installed the first update o the #Jingpad
Alt+Tab is now way smoother, and the promise is that power consumption and charging speeds have improved.
Switching apps via gestures is also noticeably smoother.All in all solid first update and already much more usable.
Looking forward to see them progress further

Another weekend I can't keep my no screen promise to myself, but this time it's not something going wrong that's pulling me back in, it's the #Jingpad I want to test out.
So far it is at the same time brilliant and frustrating, so much better than my iPad in some places and so much worse in others.
It it's a strange device to use really and I am still not sure if I like it or not...But in just little over two days of use I manged to fuck it up completely but also recover it

Sorry to report, my #Jingpad has not arrived today. Seems to be still stuck in France...
But I guess it should arrive later this week at the office, so at least I get to set it up at the weekend....

Package tracking still says my #Jingpad will arrive today, but the tracking list jumped back from it already being in Vienna yesterday to now flying out from Charles de Gaulle...
Nut sure if beaming or time travel is involved here...

I may have spent the morning working for the company and the afternoon slaving over the stove (and doing random house work)

First couple of hours in with #JingOS 1.1.0
Battery life did improve as they promised at this rate there should be an 8 hour day in this tablet.I'll drain it now and see how far I get and then check, how fast it recharges now

Update on the F(x)Tec #Pro1X
So far:It is a good looking phone, honestly I really like the design. But it is a big phone and heavy too.
Also full blown Android with Google ist the only option for an OS at the moment, which kind of sucks, since I ordered it as an Ubuntu phone.But I set it up anyway so I can play around with it for now until either lineage or ubports are ready.
One annoying thing: The camera, it has a bump and that makes typing on a table a nightmare....

Update on the #Pro1x from F(x)-tech.
The fist batch has been shipped now and the second one will ship in August.
Hopeing to be on the first batch and getting my shipping details soon.
But for as long as I really get that device, I wouldn't mind being on batch 2 either.
After all this journey started in October 2020 for me...
