#Logitech macht eine über fünfhundert MB große Applikation für die Tastatureinstellungen und der fehlen Funktionen, die #Solaar unter #Linux hat, dessen Debian-Paket ca. 2 kb groß ist.

Immerhin kann das Logitech-Ding ungefragt Produktwerbung im Hauptbildschirm anzeigen, und irgendwelcher "KI"-Quark ist auch dabei glaub ich.

Okay, huge shout out to #Solaar which is just next level awesome.

I have a MXMaster mouse and I love it, but Logitech don't have a Linux version to customise settings and I really hate the auto "Fast scroll" on the mouse wheel, this gives me all the customisation and more that I could ever want which in this case is setting it never to go into auto free spinning hell mode!

And no I didn't realise my mouse was so low on battery, yes I will be charging it overnight tonight!

Desde Gnu/Linux se pueden aprovechar teclados y ratones de #Logitech que perdieron el receptor sin cables para emparejarlos como queramos (o como nos dejen) incluso gestionando dos periféricos con un solo receptor. Para ello está la herramienta Solaar (https://github.com/pwr-Solaar/Solaar) que suele estar disponible por defecto en muchas distros. En mi caso no ha habido suerte. Aunque en teoría soporta dos simultáneamente, el teclado que quería añadir no es compatible con el dongle. #linux #solaar

You know, it's been a while, so I am again trying to program the thumb button on my #Logitech #mxergo trackball. Being #linux, that damn button isn't "seen" per se. I see no event generated when running xe.

I read somewhere that #solaar could do it, but I've never been able to get it to assign anything to it.

Has anyone successfully done this?

Ok, falls ihr mal ein #Logitech-Gerät mit einem Unified Receiver unter #Linux pairen müsst: Das geht einfach mit #Solaar.

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das ohne die offizielle Software vom Hersteller unter Windows ginge!

… but then I plugged one in (to the same hub as the BT dongle), and started pairing devices using the #Solaar program, and… I’m just completely floored by how good it is! Devices haven’t required any faffing (apart from customising button actions on the MX Ergo, which is less intuitive than Logitech’s Logi Options+, but fine for a techie) - rock solid connectivity, available immediately on resume from suspend. Solaar - very well integrated Linux support for Logitech hardware. #Recommended ! 2/2
