    I wasn't sure if I'd need to re-wire the power supplies as they are in another compartment which would make slightly more sense for the main board to be in.

    However, it turns out the cable is long enough for the claw gantry. So mounting it here seems to be ideal.

    Finished soldering the PCB for The Claw.

    For the fact it has been maybe a year since I properly did some soldering. Not too bad.

    I do have a concern around the transistors though, I should have gone a size bigger.

    If this one fails I'll revise the PCB quickly.

    So after actually using the controller for a little while last night. I found the following:

    As most reviews say it's not great, part of that is due to it's budget. But maybe also poor design decisions.

    The DPAD is terrible, I was struggling to do any type of diagonal control / button press.

    Ok so following on from my short thread yesterday about the handheld.

    Pros:
    - It seems to either be a better chip or WiFi than the Logitech G Cloud. Not noticing any stuttering in comparison.
    - Screen is nice and clear.
    - Good Haptics / Rumble

    Cons:
    - Ergonomics are pretty poor, not comfortable to hold
    - Joysticks are basically just Joycon.
    - Analogue triggers are angled weirdly too.

    Best part? They didn't even login, so they can't have actually checked the actual app.

    Anyone who says Apple justify charging their fees because of their superior review system is stupid and never had an app reviewed.

    At least google have automated tools actually log in and randomly click around the app.

    This is interesting, a to adapter, for us drivers (and a few odd ones).

    But, I've never really found having chademo *that* bad at least here in the UK. so $1000 isn't worth spending.
