I finished Willow over the last week (not super, but doesn't deserve the level of hate it seems to get). I adored some of the characters, but the quip-iness was often over the top.
I also caught up on Ted Lasso S3 this weekend which hasn't hit the highs of S1, I’m loving them fleshing out more of the characters in the show. Without spoilers, it REALLY feels like a spin-off (or more than 1) might be coming post-S3…

#ncgop pulling the same garbage they always do. A bill to aid Hurricane Helene efforts in Western NC is mostly about trying to strip power from the new Democrat governor and attorney general. These people are anything but serious legislators. They're actively working to make this state worse with every bill they pass and they ONLY work ever in their own interests.

So, is Sony just trying to turn almost all the Spider-Man villains into heroes/anti-heroes? I know they've had tweaks over the years, but this seems to be going a bit too far in that direction between Venom, Morbius and Kraven. Maybe pick one to “hero-ize" and leave the rest as true villains with hopefully conflicted characters flaws/reasons (i.e. like a real person who isn't all evil and cartoonish)?

THIS is what he decided to freak out about? This isn't mean or nasty, it's just detailing the bullshit we all know about - he creates cheap, reality content (usually garbage to my eye) & favors that over real, scripted films.
Not a good look for a CEO to be so thin-skinned in public…

I've been testing out #ReadKit (on Mac at first) for the first time in a long time after hearing @jsnell & @ismh86 discuss it on @upgrade this week. I still am primarily a user of @NetNewsWire, but I thought it was worth a look. I primarily like the UI and support for smart folders in ReadKit. One thing I've grown accustomed to in NNW is (on Mac & iPad) is the use of ⌘ Command - apostrophe to clear read items from the list. I like to periodically clean up after myself without having to switch to another view or refresh the article list. It's a small thing, but I find myself hung up on it in use of ReadKit and haven't found the same functionality there.
Anyone know of such a key combo in ReadKit?
UPDATE: I guess typing this out convinced myself that I'm being lazy, so I went hunting and there's an option clear as day. Under the 'Group' menu (which doesn't really register for me as a thing... I don't think of these as groups, but 🤷), there is an option for the 'C' to clear read items.

Outside of that, I like the #ReadKit interface and design. I started with editing the ‘Today' smart folder before actively starting a trial of premium to get >1 smart folders. I still like @NetNewsWire, but I’m not sure they're going to head in the direction I want with user-configurable smart feeds, i.e. smart feed of articles with specified text in the title or body, smart feed of articles in specified folders, smart feed of articles by a specified author.

I typically have used @NetNewsWire for my RSS reading, but I have just started experimenting with #ReadKit as I miss having the spacebar functionality to move between articles (it breaks my flow) & I really want user-configurable smart folders.
Still getting into it and while the spacebar works to move forward, I immediately found a flow-breaking choice in ReadKit. Pressing the ‘Return’ key doesn't open the article in the in-app browser or in my default browser. It does nothing? -
