  12. In the Western Science Center’s current #snail exhibit “Life in the Slow Lane” our gold Inca snails (Pomacea bridgesii) laid eggs a few weeks ago, and last weekend they started to hatch! We now have numerous ~1mm long baby snails!

After 3 days, reading 5 technical papers, and spending several hours discussing the problem with 4 other paleontologists at my museum, I can finally confidently say … that we know what question we need to ask to get at an answer.
