  1. Calling all #malacologists! I spied this adorable #snail while weeding the other day; I didn't even know we had snails in Alberta. Seek kept thinking it was an insect, and the internet was only modestly helpful. Between Google Images, Wikipedia, and the government of Canada’s “Identifying Land Snails and Slugs in Canada” guide, I feel like my tiny mollusk may be an Aegoponella nitidula? Can someone more knowledgeable in #malacology, or even #ecology, confirm or deny? Thx in advance!

  10. In the Western Science Center’s current #snail exhibit “Life in the Slow Lane” our gold Inca snails (Pomacea bridgesii) laid eggs a few weeks ago, and last weekend they started to hatch! We now have numerous ~1mm long baby snails!

  18. Found a tiny (approx 3 mm) snail cruising around on a cantaloupe in my garden. Possibly an invasive graceful awlsnail (Allopeas gracile) but waiting for an expert to weigh in on iNaturalist. Currently no "Research Grade" observations in Pennsylvania. #snail #mollusk #mollusc #nature #inaturalist #invasive #malacology #pennsylvania #macrophotography inaturalist.org/observations/3
