(2004 - Viki, 16 1:10 eps)Dated, with many tropes: a love square, forced cohabitation, cold & cruel ML, 1st love, manipulative people, etc. The FL's "friends" trick her into a vacation & sell her house when she's gone. She meets an actor on the plane.
When she returns, she finds the actor bought the house. For reasons, they decide to live together.
The storyline isn't original or good, but it was fairly entertaining. An early work for both leads & their star quality shines. Some good chemistry, even if the kisses were early kDrama wooden. The 2nd FL's character was extremely annoying. The 2nd ML's character was somewhat enlightened.
There were so many obviously filler, staring-into-the-camera-contemplating-my-feelings scenes with flashbacks at the end, that I FForwarded much of the last few eps. Watch for the actors, not the story.

One of the most highly trained lives as a village idiot. Great acting all around, but the 3 young leads are amazing. When the mission finally comes, their lives are turned upside down & so is the movie.
Physical comedy that leaves you gasping for air, then emotional scenes that cause tears to stream down your face, the writing is so smooth that it makes complete sense & carries you along for the ride. Kim Soo Hyun is a great comedic actor, but also an action star with great emotions. Uhm Tae Goo from "My Sweet Mobster" has a small part toward the end that he also nails.

A non-fairytale, slice-of-life about a 30ish woman who has suffered a break-up & is afraid to love again. She takes a chance & her heart begins to open to a guy with his own emotional baggage. The FL's character lacks confidence & isn't direct enough, but seeing the thoughts & emotions made her understandable. The ML also does things I disagree with, but seeing why makes such a difference in my empathy for him.
Everything a great drama should have: tears, laughter, memorable characters, & character growth, I loved this & have started season 2!

Our Love Triangle
(2024 - Viki, 10 :11 eps)A university student is the center of a love triangle with a jr. at school & a cold ex who returns to school.
If it wasn't so short, I would have dropped this one. It has a decent rating of 7 on MDL, but that's likely from fans of Gongchan. It has the usual tropes with nothing outstanding to report. The characters are flat & predictable.
But, the FL, Kim Shi Kyung, was great. The confusing thing is that I can't find out more about her. This is her first credit (she only has 2) on MyDramaList & there is no biography to be found. She jumps right into a main role, with no prior acting experience? Hard to believe. Her next work is also a short high school drama. I will have to watch to see if her acting continues to be good. She may be one to watch.

I watched because I like Taecyon & Kim So Hyun was a bright spot in "Radio Romance," - so I'm on a quest. At 17, she was fantastic. There was an unnoticeable 10-year age gap. She's a very mature actress - acting since she was young. Loved her action scenes & the chemistry between the leads was good. The villain is super creepy & ghosts are nicely scary.
As often happens, a super-competent & cool FL falls apart toward the end and becomes too clingy & wimpy, but I fault the writing. Overall, it's a fun watch with a pretty good story.

Love Is for Suckers
(2022 - Viki, 16 1:00 eps)I watched for the leads but this BFF to lovers story fell a bit flat. The acting was good, but too much time was spent with the leads doubting & hating themselves.
Best friends live on different floors of the same house & have supported each other through the good & the bad but have remained platonic. Things start to shift just as the FL is put in charge of a dating reality show & calls upon her friend to be a cast member.
Still might be worth a watch for one of the reality show couples. The development of their relationship was so sweet. The 2nd FL's story needed more screen time & more info about her life - she was great. I also enjoyed the lesson at the end about how life is not one happy ending. It's a series of endings, some happy, some not, but we learn & grow from them all.
