There is a sinister pattern of engagement farming from #twitter I'm seeing #bluesky users repeat on #mastodon.
They farm engagement with a bsky branded screen capture, bridged account or link. They show people something interesting, but they make it clear they'll only respond back on another app: bsky.
They're boycotting the #fediverse, except to tear it down, to pull people away one by one, to attack the idea, to get people back on a centralized bandwagon.
And they WILL win if we let them.

I call this dude on Masto “Hashtag” because he stalks #Democrats and trolls anyone who criticizes Dems. He blocked me in the Fediverse, but still comments on my bridged skeets. So, I spam his comments from here with links to past bsky content on Vichy Democrats. One turn deserves another.

Fedi bridge is so much better nowadays.
If someone replies to your post, who isn't bridged, you can now (no idea since when) reply via a web interface with your Fediverse account. In the past I was doing this with my Bluesky account.
So in theory you don't need a bluesky account anymore.That's amazing.

I've been setting up an #OpenWrt router as a WiFi access point (via powerline LAN).

It needed 3 changes beyond the tutorial to make it stable:
+ Disable the firewall on the AP (tutorial said this wasn't necessary)
+ Use WPA2 encryption only (my laptop kept dropping with mixed mode)
+ Choose 5GHz channel outside 100-144 range (which is affected by radar detection checks in UK)The #WiFi speed at the far side of the house has doubled. Hooray for reusing my old router!

I want a custom soldered jumper footprint in KiCAD, but can't see how to create two linked pins (like the bridged solder joints) without getting DRC "nets touching" failures...
... what am I missing?

I have a #FediForumFriday follow up question about the demo that EU-Haul demo (I can't remember who did it, sorry!) and Bsky:
Can I use my bridged Bsky account (as in the one @anewsocial creates when you bridge from Mastodon) and move that to an EU based Bsky server, and the bridge still work?
