@catselbow it's the same way we become the family/friend computer repair person.
In my case also local BBQ consultant, 'dog whisperer', smarthome, 'I'm buying new electronics' guy...
In return though, they know of my #OtherPeoplesGarbage thing so they'll generally send me a picture of something 'interesting' before they 🗑️ it
Also let their immediate neighbors know about it. I found a way to selectively make the garbage come to me 😂
And two of my neighbors do home renovation for a living.

@catselbow Tusky is the best one I've found for this so far. There are some quirks with scrolling but there is room for 2-3 *additional* edit lines.
Adding those would be a quantum jump in usability. And the quality of #ImageCaptions as well

For people who don't put much effort into their ICs, you're missing out on a valuable tool.
Four images gives you 6000 characters to play with to get the stuff that didn't fit into your toot.
Just *always* describe what's in the image *first* so the original intent isn't corrupted. One paragraph to do that, the rest is yours to pack in those #maker technical details.
We *need* better #ImageCaption support for *everybody* not just those *using* readers.

I freely admit to being a member of #TheInflux & don't quite grok the entirety here but I've noticed something close to universal and maybe everyone else is just used to it, so accepts it
Long #ImageCaptions are the norm here. It's considered polite and good practice
So why can I only find one #Mastodon #Client that takes that into account? Every other one I have tried gives a pathetic one or two line edit area
It's a nightmare on a phone

I have an idea for some bot development/tools that I am very keen to explore. I have just started to use the hashtags #BotsAsTools and #DevelopingWithBots in my toots in this area,
I have some concepts I need to explain that are going to be very hard to explain in this format.
My next activity is to write a Code of Conduct for my particular bots. That will be in a public repo on GitHub.
