Der frühere Chef der europäischen Grenzschutzagentur Frontex, Fabrice Leggeri, kandidiert für das EU-Parlament – auf der Liste des rechtspopulistischen Rassemblement National.
Leggeri trat 2022 als Frontex-Chef zurück, weil die EU-Antikorruptionsbehörde Olaf gegen ihn ermittelte. Er soll Pushbacks vertuscht haben und sich "aktiv geweigert" haben, 40 gesetzlich vorgesehene Grundrechtsagenten einzustellen.
