  1. OK, I have a potentially dumb question: if my home directory is on a BTRFS subvolume, how hard would it be to switch to a different OS/distribution while preserving the data/files in my home directory? Seems like it shouldn’t be terribly hard, but I’ve never done it before.

  2. The list of people I can trust to NOT throw me under the bus grows shorter more often than I'd like.

  3. Updating my systems is usually pretty quick, but on the one system where I have an GPU and have CUDA installed the process takes notably longer (primarily because the download sizes are so much larger).

  4. I’ve been mulling over the idea of switching to an immutable/container-based like Bluefin (or similar). However, I really enjoy and the breadth of up-to-date CLI tools available to me. Maybe I could use to run an Arch-based terminal for day-to-day usage?

  5. That wasn't a failure, that was a successful attempt at learning how it doesn't work.

  6. @dennisfaucher This will sound odd, but in my normal day-to-day setup I use *both* the vertical mouse and an Magic Trackpad (mouse with the right hand, trackpad with the left hand).

Today is unusual because I’m not in my home office; I’m being a bit of a digital nomad this morning. :-)

  7. After having used a vertical (ergonomic) mouse for a while, going back to an Magic Mouse is downright uncomfortable.

  8. Time for an post!
