Since when was Girls Band Cry planning on making more bands besides Togenashi Togeari and planning on making a mobile game for them?! I had no idea!

Imagine if this releases this year too, when we already have Our Notes as well as the Hololive rhythm game scheduled to come out. 2026 would truly be the year of the rhythm games then.

I didn't expect a new game though! I was already kinda referring to MyGO, Ave Mujica, and soon Yume Mita, as "The New Generation", but I expected they'd just all be added to Bandori (OG).

Especially since MyGO and Ave Mujica (unclear on Yume Mita until we see their anime) are technically very connected to some of the original bands. Since MyGO and Ave Mujica came from Crychic, which wouldn't have existed if Sakiko wasn't inspired by Morfonica, which wouldn't have existed if not for Poppin'Party, which wouldn't have existed without Arisa's star stickers.

It all traces back to Arisa putting star stickers all over the place.

And on top of the new game, we're getting an Ave Mujica movie this fall, which to my understanding is not the already announced MyGO/Ave Mujica sequel, but rather another new thing.

Damn, Bushiroad really just mass-dumped reveals on Bandori yesterday, huh?

My phone doesn't even run Bandori (OG) anymore after 2023's update, but I do need to get a new phone soon-ish anyway (phone just restarts randomly sometimes).

And with a Hololive rhythm game AND BanG Dream Our Notes coming out this year, I really need a new phone!

Watched Episode 12 of Ruri Rocks last night and that might have one of my favorite use of the opening in the episode itself that I've seen thus far.

Since they didn't let us hear what Ruri was hearing the first time they got the radio working with the other rock, I wasn't expecting for them to let us hear when they used the same rock as her grandpa.

I started the episode on a different day and then got busy so I only finished it last night, so I had forgotten that there was no OP in Episode 12 (until I checked after the fact). I found it weird that they would start playing an instrumental version of Hikari no Sumika, since I assumed there was an OP at the beginning. And then when the instrumental turns into the full song with vocals as the radio starts working was absolute cinema.

I remember Madoka Magica doing something like this (as in, have the OP play in-universe, not just for the viewers) with Kyouko dancing on one of those arcade machines, and the OP was playing in it. But this one in Ruri Rocks had a much bigger impact with the fact that it wasn't a background thing, more of an easter egg than anything else, like in Madoka. Ruri Rocks Episode 12 actually made it have plot relevance since they spent the entire episode trying to make that radio work.

Ok, this is crazy. Ever since Minami released this earlier this month, I was thinking the entire time that this song feels like it fits with her pre-Crying for Rain songs. Stuff like Eternal Blue and Honest Diary. I still like her new songs of course, Blue Glass is amazing, but there's a distinct vibe the older ones had, different from the newer ones.

I know she had to delete some of her older songs when she signed with a different label, which was the case with Eternal Blue and Honest Diary. But I didn't know all of the songs that were gone and now only live through random Youtube reuploads.

I just checked the Youtube comments to this video for the first time, only to see everyone hyped that she finally re-uploaded this song. I'm like... OH! Well that certainly explains why it FEELS like a pre-Crying for Rain song. BECAUSE IT IS! Hell yeah! Does this mean we might finally get an official (re)release of Eternal Blue and Honest Diary? Those are some of my all time Minami favorites!

There's something about episode 11s for me recently, hitting me in the feels and relatability. First Kiui's episode 11 in Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night, now Komari's episode 11 in Makeine.

I said earlier during the season that I was surprised I was liking Yanami more than Komari. Yeah, that's outdated news now. Sorry Yanami, you've been demoted to second best character in Makeine.

I gotta mentally prepare for something similar this Fall season of anime, in case the back-to-back "trilogy" decides to complete itself ​:leafeongiggle:​

I find it funny how I spent years undecided on whether Roselia or Raise A Suilen were my favorite Bandori band, and then MyGO spawned and took that number 1 spot from both Roselia and RAS. And almost instantly, too.

It kinda just hit me during this scene in Episode 9, but Yoka looks a bit like a slightly older Hitori Bocchi. Same hair color, same eye color, same uniform colors.

I just found out that Aru from Albemuth, as well as Nina from Valis are graduating ​:neocat_floof_sad:​ (Is the term "graduating" mainly used for Vtubers and less so for Virtual Singers? Or is it the same for them too?)

At the very least, it's not Harusaruhi, Kaf, Rim, Isekaijoucho or Koko. I don't know if my heart could take that.

I did listen to A Sign of Affection's ED for the first two episodes as well, but it took until the third episode to watch it as well, cause I would just leave it playing and go do something in the meantime.

And anyway, it seems like this anime shows scenes from the next episode during a portion of the ED, which reminded me that I'm pretty sure there was another anime that did the same thing. But I can't remember which one and now it's going to annoy me ​:fernthink:​

I know Lycoris Recoil showed scenes from the episode that was just ending during the ED. Maybe I'm thinking of that? But I could swear there was one that showed future scenes too. ​:cirno_shrug:​

I haven't listened to a lot of songs from Kamitsubaki, except Harusaruhi's (although I've listened to some from all of them, but I'm picking up new songs by them slowly, to not run out), so this was actually only the second time I've found Giga and TeddyLoid working with Kamitsubaki, the other time being Albemuth's Black Glow.

Either way, pleasantly surprised!

Episode 24 of Spy x Family was really wholesome. Loid and Yor, Anya and Becky, and even Anya and Franky, though that was a smaller part of the episode.
