@janerationx Do you remember #NFLEurooe and its predecessor international leagues? As a fan (season ticket holder)¹ of the Scottish Claymores from the late 1990s until they folded I thought I was watching minor league #NFL and would *eventually* have a real NFL team in my backyard.
Maybe if supersonic passenger flight had worked and had expanded to carry the big guys and all their kit? But Concorde crashed and all was lost. Maybe.
¹ 440 mile round trip from here to Edinburgh and then Glasgow

@janerationx @gramesy The second link is the law designed to stop a franchise from leaving a city at the whim of the owner. I think it's admirably short and to the point, and before the 2025 additions¹ was touted as a possible blueprint for nationwide restrictions.
Oilers, #Rams, #Chargers, #Raiders, A's fans didn't see any benefit from it but hey, it can't all be fun being a sports fan! :)

@janerationx @gramesy Previous stadium was demolished at 65 years old after Art Modell moved previous #Browns to Baltimore to become the ratbirds. Sure it was falling apart after he failed to manage adequate maintenance, but 65.
*Current* stadium broke ground in May 1997 and opened in September 1999; rushed to allow the Browns to return asap. At least it was built in Cleveland and with the city's approval. This new one is in a Cleveland suburb (pop.≈18,000). 🤷

I noticed this about TL, he is highly protective of his image as QB of the #Jags. Y’all saw him walked off the field with two trainers, like he was toughing it out. It looked like one of those 80s 90s #nfl players which reflect toughness. My other thought was that old Coca Cola commercial when the player game his game jersey to the kid.
