Christmas Eve Revisited
Every year since I started dating my wife I have been a part of her familyβs christmas eve party. They were originally at her motherβs house, then they were at our house, now they are at her motherβs house again. This year, in order to get both of the kids there at the same time, we had to push it from the 24th to the 29th. Today. That means today is technically our christmas eve.
Just when you thought the holiday was over, we pull you back in!

Xmas Eve
Are we all ready? Tomorrow is xmas. It is xmas eve. Itβs time to get the last minute details wrapped up. Dot those holiday iβs and cross those holiday tβs.
I need to hit a couple of stores. One being a gas station and another being a grocery store. Good times. I donβt expect humongous, insane crowds or anything*.
My step son has been here for days. My step daughter will be here tonight, but not until super late. Maybe even after midnight. She has a gig in Vermont and canβt come home until after. Both kids will be here for xmas morning though and thatβs what counts.
Now that the holiday is actually here, can I start feeling a little xmas spirit? I mean before itβs too late? I donβt knowβ¦ tomorrow will suffice if thatβs all I get. HoHoHo and shit.

We are down to the holiday wire and, somehow, I wrapped the final present this morning. We had a few things delivered yesterday and today before work I took them to my wrapping station in the cellar and cranked them out.
The Wrapping Is Complete.
I still need to go out and pick up one or two little things that are fun but not required. I will do that either tonight after work or tomorrow. I am off work tomorrow. Actually, I am off work until Friday. I was going to work in the office today but I am still sick so in order to not screw up anyone elseβs holiday I stayed home. I am well enough to work, but not well enough to be in public guilt free. If I do go out at some point tonight I will wear a mask.
