The vast majority of the graves do not have a plaque or tombstone. The investigation has prompted an immediate apology from NSW Health, which oversees the process, while the state health minister, Ryan Park, has signalled he wants to end the use of unmarked communal graves.

Ariel discovered this was really Cadence, who was a shapeshifter. She was also something of a castaway in time. Moreover, she was a Nephiloth exchange student from Kemen and a notorious truant. Cadence insisted she wasn't hurting anybody. "I'm taking a gap year. Back home everyone expects great things from me up here. Instead, I'm struggling. So I ran away."
