Ages ago I used to use a #WindowsPhone because of the desktop mode. I had a HP Elite X3 with its dock.

The good news is that the HP's dock works with my Google Pixel 9A.

So I got to try out desktop mode today with a keyboard and mouse.

The dock has a USB plug that plugs into the phone and I have several USB ports and the HDMI plug in the dock.

Android desktop is fairly responsive.

I also have some MS Lumia docks and they don't work with the pixel.

Ages ago, after a few years of adventures on the streets of San Francisco, I started getting myself together and went back to school. I had to take a math placement exam. Unfortunately Front Line Assembly were in town. The show was the night before my exam and I didn't get to sleep until dawn. Needless to say, I ended up placing in remedial math. Oddly enough, I ended up with a degree in mathematics.

Ages ago when we were closing down our coworking space, my friend gave me his old Kindle Keyboard. It wasn't charging. I wanted it as a display piece.

It's been on a shelf for all this time with the “Your battery is dead" screen. So I decided to see if I could bring it back to life just so it'd be a living display piece.

The old battery was... oof.
A little poking and opening it back up and boom! new battery works. Hello there Mr. Elison
