  1. "Darling!" She spread her arms out for a hug.
"Ah, my little turtle dove!" Jimmy said, and swept her off her feet.
"Are you still with that terrible woman?" she said, when he set her back on her feet.
"I think that was two wives ago," he admitted. (5/7) #wss366

  7. “Darling, it’s better / down where it’s wetter”*…

From our old friend Neal Agarwal, a long (and illuminating) scroll from the surface to the “bottom” of the ocean (10,924 meters down)…

    The Deep Sea,” from @neal.fun.

    * “Sebastian, “Under the Sea,” The Little Mermaid

As we dive: we might send connected birthday greetings to a man who put the sea floor to use, Clarence Mackay; he was born on this date in 1874. An early telecom entrepreneur, he supervised the completion of the first transpacific cable between the United States and the Far East in 1904. He laid a cable between New York and Cuba in 1907, and later established cable communication with southern Europe via the Azores and with northern Europe via Ireland. And in 1928, he became the first to combine radio, cables, and telegraphs under one management. (He sold his business, Postal Telegraph and Cable Corporation, to International Telephone and Telegraph Company [ITT] for an enormous amount of stock… just in time for the stock market crash in 1929, which wiped him out. He survived the Great Depression by selling his art and antiques.)

  12. Darlington Raceway Race Preview | ETHiX Racing

The Owltone Cup Series heads to the legendary Darlington Raceway, one of the toughest, most character‑filled tracks on the schedule. Its narrow racing groove, worn surface, and iconic egg‑shaped layout demand precision and patience, and even the best drivers usually leave with a "Darlington stripe" to show for it. This place rewards rhythm, tire management, and bravery, making it a true driver’s racetrack.

ETHiX Racing arrives ready for the challenge, though the team will be without Chelsea Carter, who will miss this week’s event due to prior outside commitments. That puts the spotlight on Steven Carlile as he looks to rebound from a rough outing in Las Vegas and regain momentum in the points battle. Darlington’s long‑run nature and technical demands suit his style, giving the team confidence heading into the weekend.

The Lady in Black never makes things easy, but that’s exactly why this race matters. ETHiX Racing is locked in and ready to take on one of NASCAR’s most iconic battlegrounds.

Watch the broadcast live on twitch.tv/NorthStarRN starting at 830 pm ET, and check out our new driver cam on youtube.com/@carlile81 beginning at 8 pm ET.

  17. @gperson Yes we do! It's very cool indeed 😎️

Though it's very experimental, also the lack of darling releases for a lot of years, and for the very long time the latest ones having serious bugs making them unusable, our build system is painfully designed around the limitations of those old builds. But at least, once everything is figured out and scripted, things work reliably! 🙂️

I've heard that #Darling released a new version last month, we will likely evaluate it. 😉️

Next version of Unvanquished which should come in some days will still be built using the old Darling because of all the possible pain from working around limitations we don't know yet. 😄️

But yes, it starts being usable for the one not afraid and with enough endurance and problem-solving skill, and it should become easier and easier in the future. Go Darling Go! 🚀️
