    I've been thinking about the parallel lives of #HenryMancini and #QuincyJones in the last few days for no apparent reason other than Q's recent death. I love the music of both of them dearly, and I'm pretty sure I know more about their careers than you do (😁).

    Parts of their journeys share some similarities, others are strikingly different. But throughout my life, Q has always struck me as a man of the present, and Hank very much as a man of the past. 1/
