@Brian_Mahoney
You hit a sensitive area!Your same prompt given to Meta began well. I saw it beginning to say something like, "AI makes mistakes all the time", but then it cleared everything, replacing it with an answer suggesting I was thinking of suicide!

@Brian_Mahoney I never used cannabis when I was young--I tried it when I was 15 or so, & I hated the way it made me feel. But none of the meds I've used for #PsoriaticSpondylitis help me very much, so I started supplementing with gummies (with my docs' full approval) so that I can at least sleep at night, & they've REALLY helped.

@Brian_Mahoney Seriously! I just got back into town tonight so I couldn't make the game but I thought sure there'd be a houseful of fans to take my place. I was there for the first home game and we rocked the place. You'd think we were #minnesotatwins fans #pwhlminnesota #pwhlplayoffs #pwhl

@Brian_Mahoney I started thinking about older punk bands like #CRASS because I swear there were a couple of songs with #NumbersStations recordings under them, can't confirm though.

Aha! That's what that #Wordle repeat was about! I did not connect those dots. #GroundHogDay
Should we expect some shenanigans for #AprilFools?

The steam nerd
Steam locomotives fascinate me because they seem alive.
They puff uphill. Water runs off them like sweat.
Their heads smoke – as if they're thinking too hard.No other machine breathes like this. Everything happens in front of your eyes: fire, water, steam, motion. Nothing hides.
And there's something melancholic too – a world where work was still visible. The machine sweated just like the stoker.

Many of you may not have heard of Pat Adachi. I was lucky enough to have interviewed her for the Momiji Tea and Memories podcast. Pat soundly beat me at Scrabble another time. One Wednesday last year we sat at Momiji watching a Blue Jays game. Pat wrote two books, both about the Asahi baseball teams before their world ended in 1942. Vancouver was never the same after that. Pat passed away earlier this month, almost making it to 106. She was a tiger but a sweetheart too.

Apparently I've done this 127 times, whatever it is.

Two things I learned today.
1. Topsoil is expensive this year. Used to be a buck a bag, $2.79 now.
2. Renewing my CDCP (Canadian Dental Plan) is ridiculously easier than it appeared to be last week. I assume I was on the wrong site. There was this grid MFA thing. I've never seen that before.Oh, OK 3 things. It's frickin' cold here in Toronto!

Next on my list after Project Hail Mary will be Middlemarch. Middle March 2027 is probably when I'll be finished. Hey, Moby Dick took 30 years!

A friend just used the term 'neck of the woods'. Back on the farm, we had names for several locations, one was 'the neck'. It was a patch of dense wood in the farthest field to the south. I remember there was a well in it, a dug well I suppose, maybe not. There were four wells on the property. Anyway, the neck was the least visited section of the farm but the name describes it perfectly.

Doubt crept in when I didn't like the first five letter word I saw in Connections. The rest went step by step.
