  1. I can't get these images of fascists trying to erase our history and present, and we shouldn't let the normies forget. Maybe a "Is this what you voted for?" collage is in order.

Don't let them erase Emily Perez's memory.

  2. A Mother’s Cry That Should Shake the World

A foreign mother’s words are impossible to ignore:

“We search for our children at school, while in Gaza, parents search for their children beneath the rubble. Why are you silent?”

Behind every number coming from Gaza is a child, a mother, a father, a family, and a heart carrying unimaginable pain. No parent should ever have to wonder whether they will find their child alive beneath the ruins.

To everyone around the world who has refused to stay silent, who has spoken up, shared our stories, defended our humanity, and stood beside Palestinian families—thank you. Your compassion means more than words can express. ❤️

I am also asking you, from one mother to another: please don’t let my children’s suffering become just another number. We are struggling to provide our family with food and the basic necessities we need.

If you can, please donate to my family’s campaign. Even a small contribution can help put food on our table and give my children a little hope. If you cannot donate, sharing our story is also a powerful act of solidarity.

Please keep Gaza’s children in your hearts. They deserve to live, not merely survive.

  4. One of the best clips from the 1949 movie “Battleground” about U.S. troops fighting Nazis during the Battle of the Bulge in December, 1944. The message is a strong one; unfortunately, it’s as relevant as ever.

  12. Was a 1967 album cut that for some reason, wasn’t released as a single then. Someone wisely decided to release it as a single in ‘70 and went to the top of the Billboard charts in the U.S. Because it’s just that good. There’s your useless rock trivia for the evening. This particular mix is just a wee bit longer than the original.

  19. So there I was at the end of my sophomore year in high school (1980) cruising in a beat up 1968 Opel Kadett hatchback with a guy who had been the leader of a high school rock band I’d done some roadie work for and he pops in a cassette of Van Halen’s new release and asks “Jopek, have ya heard this yet?” I hadn’t but I liked it. A lot. I’m sure the neighbors will now. 😉
