Despite being given the instruction to deliver to a "porch" the fuckknuckles delivered it to "a bin" in full view of the street (not in the bin at least, wouldn't fit lol.)
"Safe place" my arse.
I only knew about it as the property manager was about and came to tell me. It could have sat there for hours, or been nicked.

Before we headed out earlier we got a notification that a #delivery from #Yodel was due between 11:!5 and 13:15. The notification turned up at 12:30. Annoying. So we stayed in but by 13:30 the little tracker thing said the guy was still 5 stops away. Sod it, we thought, and headed out anyway. We got back at 16:15 to no parcel, no card, nothing, and the tracker still said 5 stops away. Stupid thing. But it's just been delivered right now at 16:30. We'd have been livid if we'd waited in.

So this is #Yodel's proof of delivery photo for a very very light package (TL;DR: it probably blew away... at least, it wasn't there when I looked half an hour later). When asked why they didn't post it through my letter box, apparently it is because they had not specifically been asked to do that, and it's more convenient for the driver to just chuck it on the ground...

as ever, #Yodel #UK are useless at delivering parcels. I ordered two things from #eBay, selecting my local Argos shop as the delivery address. One parcel from #RoyalMail arrives without trouble. Yodel can't deliver the other one, saying "We need some more information about your address. Please chat with us".

For those of you collecting reasons why Yodel has failed to deliver a parcel.... this one was new to me:
'We regret to inform you that our carrier experienced some delivery incidences with all the orders shipped the last few days of November and unfortunately it seems that your order was affected by this issue'....
Which means what I wonder; I have refund coming, but I wonder where the shipment is?
Stolen? Damaged in an accident? Lost at sea?

I don't understand why anyone uses #Yodel for deliveries in the UK.
Told them a parcel of electronics they intend to deliver this morning, 56 hours before anyone available to receive, will be damaged by rain we are expecting; their answer is they cannot hold delivery or give instructions to return to depot in the event of no response.
Can't even specify a dry place to leave it.
They recommend letting it be destroyed and claim from the seller... in Japan, that didn't contract with them directly. -

@dcateau There are lots of different combinations (as well as duos, quatuors etc), but I think that the main big choirs, mostly in Swiss Germany, seem to be "lots of men + just a few women (or only men with some who sing high/falsetto) to do the yodel bit", or else only women's choirs. The idea is to get 4 voices, so for us finding enough women with deep deep voices is the main challenge. We have 2 women who can sing tenor, but that is rare. If you know anyone, please send them our way!! #yodel

In the end, my talented friend Marie-Louise, one of the few licensed traditional Genevois costume makers, sewed the dresses and blouses! She made 1 for me (left) & my daughter, in the two permitted colours. These are the « costume genevois de travail », i.e. week wear dresses, as opposed to the more fancy flowery Sunday dresses.
