I've set this up for my partner who's now using it as a long-term memory service with #opencode (via Yaps' built-in MCP - most definitely on trend) and it's truly phenomenal. Voice support is excellent and the UI is polished.

I've never been a fan of #Obsidian, but when I saw someone the other day talking about launching an AI agent from an open vault I had to laugh. A native app built for local AI - #Yaps does this with zero friction and lets you easily and intuitively save anything and ask questions like "remind me the name of the project I discussed a week ago..." from any agent.

The developer is a one-man-shop indie developer.
