I've been away from the #WordPress ecosystem long enough that I sometimes forget about #WPDrama, and things are better for it.

Hemos llegado a enero del 2026 con un total de 45 entradas publicadas en el año 2025, marcando un nuevo record para el blog, contra las 23 del año 2024. ¡Un montón! A decir verdad, este blog debería ser solo el reflejo de lo que voy aprendiendo con el tiempo. Como dice la descripción, un lugar donde publico mis actividades, experimentos y servicios que he ido desarrollando durante mi crecimiento profesional. No lo llevo con el fin de ganar dinero con anuncios (no podría ni valdría la pena con mis 5 visitantes supuestamente humanos al día) así que no es fácil que me quede sin contenidos. Aun así, es fácil que me quede sin ganas de publicarlos porque me da mucha pereza. He hecho lo posible para tener algo escrito al menos y con eso logré las 45 entradas del 2025 y espero no perder el animo este 2026. Bueno, tal vez si que lo pierda, pero al menos no abandonar como acostumbro a hacer.

El 2025 estuvo dominado por el tema BlockMag, con el cual parece que estaré parte del 2026 pues le tengo dudas y quiero simplificar la administración del sitio. La idea de los bloques de WordPress me gusta, pero a la larga es súper pesado y tedioso. Dado que soy desarrollador web, puedo intentar lucirme con trabajos algo mas manuales y no depender tanto de plugins. En cuanto a trafico, no hubo cambio. La pagina de inicio recibió 522 vistas en el 2024 y en 2025 561. en ese sentido, la incursión de la inteligencia artificial solo agregó un origen nuevo al trafico, pero no lo incrementó. Así que escribir mas no atrae mas gente. Pero por supuesto que atrae crawlers.

Como origen de trafico, tampoco ha cambiado mucho. Taringa ya no está y he conocido iniciativas como blogblog.es y powrss.com que le apuestan a la web sencilla. Libre de los jardines amurallados de las redes sociales. @bloguers_net aun es una fuente interesante. También llama la atención como incursiona ChatGPT y Gemini como fuentes de trafico por inteligencia artificial. Me corroe la curiosidad por saber que preguntaron a la IA esas 7 personas que terminaron por acá. Como pequeña contribución al ecosistema de RSS, hice el bot de channel2RSS que permite crear un feed RSS de un canal de telegram para poder leerlo por un cliente como FreshRSS. Tiene también la función de Newsletter, la cual no esta lo suficientemente probada para saber si la dejo o no.

Espero esta vez si aportar mas a mi otro blog de recogiendofrutos.interlan.ec. Aunque voy a ocultar mis relatos nuevos. Lo que ya era publico, se quedará publico. Hablaré después sobre esto. Es bastante existencial.

Resumen del año 2025

Para concluir, compartiré una comparativa del año 2025 en comparación con el año 2024

• 45 Entradas en el 2025. En el 2024 solo tengo 23
• 22 Me gusta en el 2025. En el 2024 he recibido 22 me gusta. no hubo cambio, al menos no se redujo.
• 31 comentarios en el 2025. Algunos vienen desde el fediverso.
• Paices Populares 2025: España , México y Estados Unidos. ¿Eh? ¿gringos?
• Fuente de trafico: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox ¡¿eeeeeh?!!
• Palabras en el 2023 17,2 mil. En el 2024 escribí 19,6 mil. En el 2025 fueron 40,4 mil!
• Articulo mas visitado en el 2024: Desarme: Xiaomi buds 4 Lite ¡¿Por que?!

Conclusiones

Este año no abandoné WordPress, pero si que hice experimentos. De hecho, ahora me cambio a WordPress Multisite y voy a revisar que puedo aprender de ello. De hecho perdí el rastro al #wpdrama

Al final si aprendí Astro, pero no encontré forma de aprovecharlo. Estoy estudiando ahora Laravel, pronto escribiré sobre eso. Hay demasiado que aprender, pero me gustaría poder obtener algún beneficio económico de lo que aprendo. Este año volveré a intentar ganar algo de dinero para al menos mantener los costos de operación del servidor.

Matt Mullenweg Has Lost His Way And Is Taking It Out On The Community. The Latest…

Roger Montti over at Search Engine Journal reported that the latest in the WordPress Drama had dropped. Matt Mullenweg, the “leader” of the WordPress project has barred longtime supporter of the project Joost De Valk from speaking at WordCamp Asia, because Matt feels Joost stabbed him in the back.

Matt Mullenweg, co-creator of WordPress, posted a statement on X (formerly Twitter) announcing that Joost de Valk was no longer speaking at WordCamp Asia and was persona non grata for having “stabbed” him when he was vulnerable and betraying his confidence. Mullenweg cited statements by de Valk to prove his point, but those statements were presented without their full context, which significantly altered their meaning.

Matt is seriously unhinged. And what’s scary is that WordPress is suffering because of this insanity. WordPress powers ~40% of the Websites on the Web. There is a lot at stake here if Matt goes nuclear.

He brought this on himself. And now Matt is paying the price for his actions. But sadly he’s taking the whole fucking community down with him.

There are efforts to make sure this doesn’t happen, or hopefully doesn’t. But it has a lot of us on edge, me included.

Seriously, this is one more thing that many of us don’t need right now.
