Yesterday it was 37ºC here in the Netherlands, and lots of people complained about how hot it was.
But I'm a survivor of the 2015 #WCEU in Sevilla, which recorded 47ºC, so I, like a champion, just shrugged it off yesterday.

A few of my takeaways from #WCEU 2026.
- WordPress' decline is probably understated. In terms of % of new sites starting on WordPress, numbers are way down from a couple of years ago.
- This is reflected in the numbers for most product owners I spoke to. Pretty much everyone is experiencing declining new revenue. -

And yes. I WILL take the train from Amsterdam to Malaga via a stop and hotel in Barcelona next year. For me it's a no brainer.
No plane. Just public transport.
I have traveled to Barcelona before by train. Malaga only needs a train to Madrid and one layover to #MalagaHow will you be travelling?

I represented the Rio Grande do Sul and Brazilian community at #WCEU2026 in Krakow, Poland.
It's the largest #WordPress event in Europe, with 3 days of talks and lots of collaboration and interaction, as well as the opportunity to seek new projects and expand my network.
But more than that, it's also a time to see dear friends again and make new ones!
Until the next #WCEU. Maybe in Malaga?
