  1. I'll be honest, I forgot it was Tuesday. So a late #TuneTuesday with some sublime #WindMusic from David Bowie.

This is a cover of Nina Simone's quite heartbreaking version of a song first recorded by Johnny Mathis in the 50s. Bowie's version from Station to Station.

    Night all.

  2. Today's #TuneTuesday theme is #WindMusic. Music about a breeze, winds, gusts and storms. So here's my pick:

Covenant - Wind Of The North
    covenant-swe.bandcamp.com/trac

    Lyrics:
    genius.com/Covenant-wind-of-th

I filtered the wind to sense the colours of the air
Projecting the graphs describing past and future
The shapes of the living and calamity they bear
Clairvoyance became a word far too weak

  4. If you prefer music by people who did not kill anyone, here are three more examples of #WindMusic from the different countries:

    🇩🇪 Thomas D: Rückenwind

    Cute late-90s German pop

🇬🇧 Chris de Burgh: Eastern Wind

Fun fact: At the time, the album (of the same title) was the second best-selling album in Norway after Abbey Road by The Beatles.

    🇳🇱 Splitsing: Wind en zeilen

  5. This is the first time that I am joining #TuneTuesday. This week’s topic, suggested by @Nicolaa, is #WindMusic.

My first thought was ‘Le vent nous portera’ (The wind will carry us) by Noir Désir. The song features guitar work by Manu Chao. It is from the band’s last album, released two years before the singer of the band killed his girlfriend. The song is unrelated to the crime and the murderer served his time, but it’s up to you if you would like to give it a listen.

  12. #TuneTuesday this week is #windmusic and I'm resiitng Earth Wind and Fire, Bob Dylan, Joni, Hendrix and loads of much loved "windy" tunes because @revivalrecords reminded me the other day of the wonderful #DickGaughan - and this is a live version of his completely beautiful Now Westlin Winds, performed at Harvard and with a wee 2mn introduction from the man, himself, while he tunes the guitar.

  14. #TuneTuesday #WindMusic

It might be early in the day, but I'm surprised no one's posted a version of the Gram Parsons/Byrds' classic Hickory Wind. Richard Thompson's isn't on YouTube, but Lucinda Williams does it justice... youtube.com/watch?v=RzDz5TKKDI

  15. Tune Tuesday time, and going with some glorious city pop this week as the theme is Wind Music.

The *fantabulous* podcast The Strange Case of #StarshipIris has for its theme this lovely song, Fear for the Storm, covered by El Kennedy-Lange.

The polished version on the podcast (and two more) are found on an episode of the How I Make Music podcast. (Link below)

ETA: Yeah, I know. I posted this for the StormyNights edition of Tune Tuesday. Sue me.

  17. Today's #TuneTuesday theme is #WindMusic.

I was looking for a version I recall of King Crimson's I Talk to the Wind, and found this delightful cover from Marc Almond and Ian Anderson from last year. (Who would have guessed at that collab back in the 80s?)
