Alaska wildfire during July in burned about 633,00 acres (989 square miles) = 256,000 ha in Alaska Interagency Coordination Center analysis. This is above the past 32 year median but not dramatically so. About 85 percent of the total burned during the first half of the month. @anisian @Climatologist49

Alaska Interagency Coordination Center as of early Tuesday morning estimated that just over 232,000 acres (94,100 ha) have burned in Alaska, virtually all of that in the past eight days.
