Most of Alaska in August was, overall, near to slightly warmer than the 1991-2020 normal. Central and western North Slope and northwest Arctic were near to little below normal. Central and southern Southeast Alaska was especially mild. At Sitka this was the second warmest August of record thanks to very mild nights. @Climatologist49 @pat_wx @SilverSalmonAK
