I regularly bring up the fact that the US helped replace the #Iran democracy with the shah dictatorship in 1953, but I've never brought up the #IranIraqWar of the 1980s. It started with an unprovoked attack by Saddam/Iraq who we were supporting. Lasting almost 8 years, it was the single deadliest war in the Middle East of the 20th century and involved chemical weapons. Syria was the only country that came to their support. #WhyTheyHateUs
