We explore all options. While we keep losing valued contributors. We see and hear them. We keep hoping that one day they can return to a more robust, powerful and sustainable #WordPress #OSS Project.
We keep asking to demand the probably most efficient and reasonable way forward: an independent, transparent, and strong WPFoundation. For a solid #5ftF that cannot be weaponized.

The ongoing #wpdrama exposes once again a core problem within the WordPress project. We do not have a transparent and distributed governance model that can act as a neutral guardian angel.

The open letter is not related to ClassicPress, though ClassicPress might be born out of similar concerns.
The letter is an appeal for unity, to fight for the future of the WordPress open source project. A future where a crisis like this can not happen again. We can choose not to be divided. We can at least try to advocate for a way out of this mess.
