It’s been quiet because a lot has happened: I’ve completed four job interviews (including UPMC!) and have one more this Monday. I’m just waiting for the first official offer to land.
The silence was a matter of survival. Where I wound up staying last wasn't so great, and I had to escape an abusive living situation that drained my spoons. I’m out now, but I’ve landed in a hotel in Washington, PA—outside the Pittsburgh bus range and far from the city I need to work in.
I am currently out of food money and trying to scrape together enough to bridge the gap until I can start a job and pay rent. I tried boarding Riko to make things easier, but she's back with me now after an incident. It's just the two of us, too far from everything, trying to reach the finish line.
If you can help us survive these final weeks of the "waiting room," it would mean everything. I am so close to the life I've worked so hard for.
