Tomorrow, we're starting module 5 of 6 of my #Pathfinder #RiseOfTheRunelords campaign. I never imagined I'd get this far through it when we started.
It's got me thinking about my gaming white whales.
I'd love to get to play #VampireTheMasquerade again at some point, but more likely, I'll be running #VampireTheRequiem
I'd love to go back and run some #AdvancedDungeonsAndDragons modules like the #Dragonlance #WarOfTheLance or the original #Ravenloft or things like that using #ADD2e or #CastlesAndCrusades.

Do you have a favorite campaign that you played in or ran for players?
Favorite campaign I played in was the #Dragonlance #WarOfTheLance 3.5 #DnD campaign we played a few years back. We had some amazing characters fighting against a tide of evil.
For campaigns I've run, I can't decide between the two I'm currently working on.
The #Pathfinder #RiseOfTheRunelords campaign I'm running is a Christmas gift for my wife from a few years back. I've got #ADHD and I'm super proud of myself for making it half way through a 400+ campaign book. And I feel like everyone is having a good time.
The #MasksANewGeneration #PBTA game I'm running is all me. I've got a crew of absolutely awesome players and I feel fortunate that my sessions have risen to their levels. The stories have had some twists that the players didn't see coming and it's all mine. This isn't a published campaign but I've been running for... maybe a year or so now, with some breaks here and there. I'm on hiatus at the moment but I've been plotting the next trade/campaign.

I'd love to do a #Dragonlance #WarOfTheLance campaign someone, but I'm inclined to use #ADnD or #CastlesAndCrusades over 3e D&D, like we played before or maybe use #GURPS. I haven't been able to play enough 3e GURPS yet.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) is the best live-action adaptation so far. It's also based on #ForgottenRealms.
If they can do this, I'm sure they can for #DragonLance as well. So, let's have a #WarOfTheLance era adaptation!

CW: A D&D journey influenced by ChatGPT. (summary)
LOL. That was fun. I decided to give #ChatGPT a try in #DnD.
I set the world in #DragonLance in the time of the #WarOfTheLance. The #AI asked me where my character should start, of the options provided, I chose Solace. My character met the Companions, joined their quests.
At first, the quests were similar to the original stories, but as I started to take action (learning how to prompt ChatGPT better in this experiment), the stories started to diverge.
My character got married to a prince of a coastal kingdom in the Northern coast of Ansalon. A kingdom with a strong navy, and bustling port where ships from Taladas visit and trade.
We, together with the Companions, defeated the Dark Queen #Takhisis. And peace settled on the world of #Krynn.
Later, a new threat arosed. A long slumbering dragon, called the “Dark Lady” (the AI needs improvement in names) woke up.
At the same time, reports from Taladas came in that a powerful mage is wreaking havoc in the continent and is preparing to stake a claim in Ansalon.
The Companions were called, who are at this time, Heroes of the Lance. The other kingdoms in Ansalon were also invited to a meeting in our kingdom.
The Dark Lady was defeated, or at least her armies and brood. She escaped to #Taladas. At the same time, there is a growing set of evidences of the connection of the mage and the Dark Lady dragon.
Then the gully dwarves declared war on Thorbardin. (Weird, but hey…)
This is where it got interesting, very interesting.
Portals to other planes of existence suddenly opened up all over Krynn. Eventually all were closed, but six remained. Somehow, the missing Dark Lady and that myssterious Mage from Taladas were to blame.
Then Drizzt came to our kingdom. One of the portals lead to #Faerun!
The Ansalon council decided to ssend a delegation. My character, the spouse, diplomats, and armies (some are Solamnic Knights). And we're in Faerun!
They found an orb which was powering the portals. Something happened and it broke, which closed the portals.
Any attempts by the best of Faerun in opening a portal back to Krynn failed. The Krynn delegation got stuck in Faerun.
So, we decided to settle in and founded a new kingdom.
The end. LOL.
