It seems Jane Hill, the Head of Public Affairs, sent Paula #vennells incorrect information about info about Horizon saying it could not be tampered with by any outside agency. Vennells accepted this as true and presented it as such to the Home Affairs Select Committee
But
Previously, Vennells had specifically asked Lesley Sewell and Mark Davis if this could be done, and Jane Hill merely replied on their behalf
Sewell went on to block her on her phone

Beer tells #Vennells that she lied to parliament when she informed that at every occasion, the Post Office had successfully prosecuted postmasters for shortfalls. He informs her that there were at least three that she knew about.
She starts crying.
Not because of the injustuce the postmasters faced but because she knows she has committed perjury and is going to go to jail.
