    One reason I don't trust the first number thrown by #Startups is that I have seen way too much BS.

    Here is one example I wrote about some time back.

    Their entire View and like could be deduced by a simple formula.

    They are heavily funded, backed by celebrities, and have since also started doing #web3 ...more on that some day

    It makes perfect sense to me, the context and the premise for that paragraph is spot on.

    And I am credited to be one of the bunch of folks who defined #SocialCRM and #SocialBusiness back in the day. So I'm painfully aware of what you're talking about, about the unnamed brand your post is about.

    And that's exactly what we used to warn against. #EgoMetrics / #VanityMetrics masquerading as #Engagement, without any proof of causation. Measuring what's possible.
