The player of the cleric in my #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav game recently uploaded the pictures of the battle at the end of last session to our group chat. The session ended mid-combat so these will be used to set-up the board next time.
I confirmed with him that it was OK to share them here.
Read the alt text of each image for more information.

I'm thinking about my next #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav session.
The party sent missives to four nearby thorps and/or hamlets to recruit people to stand with them against the fire #skeleton champions and their allied #wights. The #skeletons agreed to meet at sundown to collect tribute from the local village.
I'm trying to decide how many NPCs would respond to the request for aid. Also, should the village #vampire faction lend aid?

In regards to my #P1e #Ustalav campaign, it took me a bit more than month, but I did "fancy-up" my #ghoul warren map today so it's more readable. I basically colored in all the wall areas with black ink so it's easier to differentiate tunnels from the space between tunnels. In hindsight I should have used thinned black paint, as the ink I used was drying very fast, but hindsight is 20/20, and it looks a lot better than it did.

I had a #P1e #Ustalav session scheduled for today (20 December) but it was canceled yesterday evening. These things happen around the holidays so it is what it is.
The campaign is delayed until 03 January now. The party are deep in a ghoul warren. They're facing off with a pair of ghasts. Someone is yelling to be released from a stone sarcophagus in the chamber. They're avoiding a golem in another chamber.

OK, so I'm back on my #P1e #Ustalav train. Next scheduled session is Saturday (06 Dec).
Last session had the party fighting through my hand-drawn #ghoul warren under the graveyard.
I've since made a stat block for the ghoul bat swarm. Last time I winged it (pun intended) with a ghoul raven swarm stat block. Ghoul bat swarm is a little weaker.
Next I want to fancy-up my warren map a bit so it is easier on the eyes.

I've only had three players since May. If they had a fourth party member, that combat might not have taken two sessions.
It was a total of 10 rounds over two sessions.
Anyway, that is to say, know anyone in Charleston, WV interested in an in-person #Pathfinder1e game?
Is there a #TTRPGRecruitment hashtag? If not, there should be.

The #P1e #Ustalav game scheduled a week ago was delayed until yesterday (Saturday 08 Nov).
Combat continued from the previous session (04 Oct) and took all session. (We ran 18 minutes over allotted time to finish it.)
Party fought ghouls.
The rogue was paralyzed twice and down to 0 hp. The bloodrager finally bloodraged (first time in the campaign) and destroyed a ghoul with her claws.
The cleric's disruption morningstar finally worked. -
The recent session of my #P1e #Ustalav game on 24 May ended mid-combat. The party defeated one #werewolf #ghoul (thanks to a very effective sneak attack from the rogue) and still had one werewolf ghoul remaining.
The player of the bloodrager has called out for the upcoming 07 June game. Rather than resume combat without her, I've proposed a side-scene for this upcoming session.
So I have a day to put something together.

I had a player drop from my #P1e #Ustalav game on the 14th. I guess I should start looking for a new player, but I've been pretty busy recently so I haven't really started looking.
It's going to be harder not to TPK the level three party again now that we're back down to three regular players (and a fourth that is there occasionally); I need to fill that seat pretty soon.

So, #Pathfinder1e has #vukodlak as an #undead that rises from #worgs and #werewolves, and a cross between a dire wolf and horse in appearance and stature. It's CR 3.
I looked up vukodlak. Stuff I saw indicated #werewolf variant or werewolf-like #undead. So I'm tweaking it for my #Ustalav game. Still undead but with +4 HD, create spawn ability, and my custom #ghoul subtype, which changes how they interact with my custom werewolf template. +2 CR bump.

I have house rules that any demon may do (a weak form of) possession.
The party was fighting a #dretch and it was already disabled. It had one standard action before it fell. So, as a Hail Mary for its last action, it just tried to possess the tank smashing it to powder.
She failed the DC 11 Will save and it went up her nose.
We were down two party members that session, so I'm looking forward to seeing their reactions next time.

Tonight, at the #P1e #Ustalav game, the party met a #faun. He said, "I'm Jack Savoy, you may have heard of me."
A player immediately went where Jack was going and said he had, as in "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick..."
Jack was like, "Yeah, you have heard of me! I jumped over that candlestick."
The level 2 party defeated a #vukodlak (Large #undead, CR 3) and, separately, a vampire pumpkin (Tiny plant, CR 4).

My last scheduled #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav session on 19 October was canceled. The host was sick and said we could play at his place anyway, but it didn't feel right so we delayed. Next session is on 02 November.
I will have had a month to work out next session, but I never feel like I've planned enough. Of course I was ready to run on the 19th, as we canceled only hours before the game, but now I feel less ready than I did then.

My #Ustalav game was canceled this evening. The hosting player was sick and he said we could play anyway, as he hasn't been in his game room so we could just come over and use it without fear of exposure to whatever he's got, but we decided to postpone until our next scheduled session in two weeks.
(I think it would be rude to use his space without him, and I'm not sure the party can survive the planned encounter without his PC.)

Spent a few hours today revising fire skeleton stat blocks used in my #P1e #Ustalav campaign. I had not properly accounted for one of their sources of hit points. I also more clearly noted the sources of hit points in their stat blocks.
I moved them all onto my new document template for a consistent look, and put ability score modifiers beside of ability scores so I don't have to think about it.
Also made two more variants at different CRs.

Recent #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav session last Saturday with the new group.
(Session #4)It was a relatively slow session over all, so I need to make sure session #5 has better pacing.
The party gained two relics: an ancient bone and a tin-type with a picture of a #Taldan boy and a future birth date. Both kept by the Pharasmin relic hunter.

Tonight was the third session of my #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav game.
A player made it to session 0 but missed sessions 1 and 2. The player canceled for session 1. The player was a no-call, no-show for session 2.
Tonight the player was a no-call, no-show for session 3, after saying they had "set lots of reminders." I guess not enough.
Suffice to say I don't think they're playing anymore; I let them know I'd be looking to fill their seat.

Today, this evening, is Session 3 of my #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav game.
One player made it to session 0 then missed both session 1 and 2. I hope they make it to session 3.
One player missed Session 0 but made it to both Session 1 and 2. He has told me he can make Session 3, but will not be able to make Session 4.
My plan is that after five sessions we all review and see who is interested in continuing in an ongoing game.

I posted on Nextdoor and Facebook again in an attempt to recruit players for my #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav game.
I made contact with two interested parties, one of which is a married couple, so I might end-up with 6 players if I'm lucky. Fingers crossed!
I have some unpopular House Rules so I'm more likely to recruit players with little system experience and players with GM experience. Basically opposite ends of the spectrum.

In #Pathfinder1e, ghoul/ghast paralysis lasts 1d4+1 rounds.
In #Pathfinder2e, ghoul/ghast paralysis lasts until a creature saves against its DC, but the DC decreases every round while paralysis persists.
For my #P1e #Ustalav game, I'm thinking about adding the #P2e save-every-round mechanic. Paralysis would still be 1d4+1 rounds, but with an early exit saving throw each round with a diminishing DC. This would allow a chance for a player to be back to playing faster.

I'd like to integrate a #hexcrawl into my #Pathfinder1e game. Ultimate Campaign suggests 12 mile hexes so I'll likely use that, though I've heard elsewhere a recommendation for smaller hexes.
I want to run a hexcrawl experience in the Hungry Mountains of #Ustalav. Canonically the Hungry Mountains contain the One Hundred Haunted Vales, very diverse isolated environments spread across the mountains, so I think a hexcrawl fits there.
