The religious festival occurring on December 25th each year. The meaning’s getting lost I think.
It’s more than a selling time for Amazon. More than a competition to produce the best TV advert. It’s not about the adventures of Kevin the carrot, the BFG at Sainsburys and how many cakes we can eat before we pass out. It’s a birthday with enormous religious significance.
