:cannabis: Nicht Nextcloud selbst war das Problem, sondern das gesamte System aus den Abhängigkeiten dahinter. Gemeint ist also der gesamte Unterbau. Für einen Raspberry Pi 3+ war das für eine Dateicloud irgendwann schlichtweg zu viel. Wir haben uns OpenCloud angeschaut und haben den Anbieter gewechselt.

Marketing fatto bene, l'oggetto in sé è esteticamente davvero bello secondo me. Sicuramente non tutti saranno d'accordo con la semplificazione di alcune delle complessità intrinseche nell'avere un serverino casalingo, ma al contempo a mio parere QUESTO è un oggetto in grado di far fare i primi passi nel mondo del selfhosting a quegli amici che "vorrebbero ma non possono".

Moin Marcel, nutze #Yunohost auf VServer bei Strato und #Umbrel als Home-Server in den eigenen vier Wänden über #wireguad um von außen Zugang zu bekommen. Der VServer mit #Yunohost wird mir einfach zu viel angegriffen, laut #fail2ban Protokoll, siehe Bild. Das war die Motivation #umbrel zu nutzen und dort meine privaten Daten zu speichern und mit #seafile zu synchronisieren. Das klappt prima👍

War ein sehr überschaubarer Aufwand, das ganze einzurichten

Nutze aber ebenfalls Nextcloud von Hetzner, bisher bin ich sehr zufrieden damit. Sync Kontakte und Kalender, sowie teilen von Dateien.

Weiterhin klappt nach meinem Umzug der Fernzugriff über #wireguard an der Fritz!Box nicht mehr, weil mein Provider #deutscheglasfaser da irgendwie herumzickt. Werde wohl auf den VServer einen WireGuard-Server installieren, um das Problem zu lösen. Möchte von außen gerne wieder auf meinen Umbrel-Server zugreifen können.

@cantences Hier meine Antwort, warum ich mich für #Umbrel entschieden habe:

Weil ich keine Ports am Router aus Sicherheitsgründen öffnen wollte.

Bei #yunohost konnte ich in der Firewall erkennen, das der Server im Minutentakt bei mir Zuhause angegriffen wurde.

Die IP -Adressen kamen oft aus China, Niederlande und aus Russland. Natürlich muss ich den Nachteil in Kauf nehmen, das ich keine öffentlichen Links teilen kann, damit kann ich aber gut leben.

~~ Erfahrungsbericht ~~

🍁 Seit Juli 2025 nutze ich jetzt lokal zu Hause einen eigenen kleinen Mini-Server mit #umbrelos und ich muss sagen der läuft bis jetzt ohne Probleme. Einmal eingerichtet und schon läuft alles. Die Einrichtung mit #wireguard erlaubt mir auch den Zugriff vom Büro aus.

Daher eine klare Empfehlung für Umbrel 🏅

Es läuft auf #umbrel bei mir derzeit #seafile, #jellyfin und #heimdal sehr gut.
